About me
I am a doctoral student in the Information Science and Engineering (ISE) division at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and I am doing research under the supervision of Professor James Gross and Professor György Dán. I have received my M.Sc. in Communication Systems (Wireless Networking) from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Communication Systems) from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran.
My research is focused on improving the latency in time-critical applications that use wireless networks.
Before starting my Ph.D. studies, I carried out my degree project at Ericsson AB Radio Research, which led to my thesis "Vehicular Positioning Using 5G and Sensor Fusion" and a conference paper which was published and presented in ICC 2020 conference. In this work, we proposed to combine range and angle measurements routinely exercised by 5G milimeter-wave base stations with acceleration measurements by vehicles to generate position estimates. The results of our work showed that our proposed positioning system outperforms GNSS based schemes in the problematic areas. You can find the links here for the paper.
