About me
I am an Assistant Professor and Docent in Transportation Science (specification in Transportation Systems) in the Division of Transport Planning, KTH, and a Faculty Member of Digital Futures and ITRL. Before joining KTH, I was a Lecturer at Monash University (2019-2021) and Postdoctoral Researcher at Transit Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2016-2019) where I co-managed the MIT-MTR Hong Kong research partnership. I received my Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering at the University of Queensland (2015), M.Sc in Information Technology (2012), and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Shandong University (2009).
My research focuses on statistics and data science based modeling, simulation, optimization, and control of mobility-related complex systems, which are: intelligent transport systems (traffic/public transport/rails) and coupled multimodal mobility systems (transport/energy).
For scientific engagements, I am an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Editorial Board of SAGE Transactions in Urban Data, Science, and Technology, a Committee Member of US NASEM Transportation Research Board (AP090-Transit Data and AEP060-Travel Demand Management), an Honorary Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash Data Science and AI Department, and a Research Affiliate at MIT Urban Mobility Lab.
