Zhongzheng Wang

I received my BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017 and 2020, respectively, and completed my PhD in Engineering Mechanics at the Promobilia MoveAbility Labat KTH in 2025. My doctoral research focused on in vivo measurement of skeletal muscle morphology and mechanical properties using ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Currently, I am working on the PelvicMIMproject, which aims to enhance the diagnosis and understanding of childbirth-related pelvic floor muscle injuries through a multi-modal imaging approach. My work focuses on the development and application of advanced imaging techniques, including diffusion MRI, quantitative MRI, and elastography, to evaluate pelvic floor muscle microstructure, composition, and mechanical properties.
