Welcome to the Structure Biology course

The Structure Biology course teaches the basic concepts of macromolecular structure and function, and outlines the principles for elucidating protein 3D structure by X-ray crystallography. Lectures are followed up by interactive, computer-based exercises (kinemages) that serve to deepen awareness and understanding of the fundamentals of structural features. During the course, you will also participate in literature seminars and undertake a more in-depth study of the structure-function relationship of a particular protein. You work in groups of two or three, and make a brief oral presentation at the end of the course. All computer exercises and literature seminars are compulsory.

Hope to see you there!
