Computational Methods for Electromagnetics

This course of numerical approaches to solve electromagnetics problems, relevant mathematical theory, and some insight into research and industrial application domains.

The course covers:

  • Maxwell Equations and fundamental concepts in Electromagnetics.
  • Theory of convergence, stability and error analysis.
  • Finite Difference 
  • Finite Element Methods 
  • Commercial software for Electromagnetics 
  • Method of Moments
  • Charged Particle Trajectories in Electromagnetic Fields
  • The Particle-in-Cell Method 

We use Matlab for completing the exercises.

To pass the course, a series of assignments and a final project must be completed.
