This course gives you the opportunity to apply and deepen your knowledge in mechanics, hydromechanics, and mathematics from previous courses, in the study of water waves, ship motions in waves, and ship manouvring. The course includes theory, modelling, full-scale laboration on-board ships, and assessment of ship safety, performance and seaworthiness in realistic exercises.
The course is part of the core of the naval architecture and maritime engineering master programs, and could also be of interest for students in other fields and programs who want to get some insights in naval architecture or who want to further develop their general understanding of dynamics.
