Publicerad 2020-04-03

Our recent PhD graduate Emma Frid, who defended her thesis titled "Diverse Sounds" in January, has just been awarded scholarship in the Bernadotte programme.

Bernadotte programme is a collaboration between The Royal Swedish Academy of Music (KMA), The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Konstakademien), The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities (Kungliga Vitterhetsakademien), The Swedish Academy, and The Royal Gustavus Adolphus Academy for Swedish Folklore Study started in 2016 to provide support and development opportunities for researchers and younger artistic practitioners in the interests of these five academies.

The scholarship is awarded to Emma Frid for her project in exploring the potential of haptic feedback in digital musical instruments for music installations, related to the project of our Sound and Music Computing group, Sound Forest (Ljudskogen) currently displayed in the Swedish Museum of Performing Arts, Stockholm.
