SK183N Internet course: Environmental Science. Physics and Applications II 6.0 cr
The course provides knowledge of acoustics Carpathian concepts in the environment, such as how infrasound could be used to make environmental measurements. For earthquakes, tsunamis, avalanches, missile projections, gas release during drilling rigs can infrasound used for detection. Noise and dB-scale is reviewed. Electromagnetic radiation is entered, as well as protection from excessive radiation, and laser radiation.
The course also reviewed solar energy and so-called solar park. Radioactivity, radioactive dose, etc. is discussed. Radiation safety and radiation protection are included. Long term storage of nuclear waste and transmutation, ie the transformation of long-lived nuclear waste into short-lived.
Virtual environment laboratory is part of the course.

All our courses have a flexible study pace, that you can choose when you have received an RCN-account for the course. Formal admission and registration to the course, however, takes place on the course date you have signed up for. It is possible to start the course and do tests before the course date, but the results will not be registered until the course date. Please make sure that the account and notification are for the same course date.
