A Day at KTH

A dreamy student life contains lots of fun activities every day, meeting friends, going out for lunch and partying. But its called dreamy for a reason. A typical student life contains deadlines, assignments, projects, examinations, google calendar filled with lectures and project meetings.

The time during the middle of a study period and the end are pretty hectic. Fun but hectic. We are pretty much filled up with lectures and assignments that I feel that time flies every day. Every event I need to do from 7:00 to 22:00 two months from now is already recorded on my google calendar already.

At the same time, the activities are fun. I consider this to be one of the most creative periods of my life since I am getting to learn a lot and apply my learning at the same time. The projects are done in groups and this gives us an opportunity for us to make new friends or build our professional network.

Apart from academics, we would need to take out time to keep up our rooms and to cook food. Being at Lappis means that I share my kitchen with 7 other beautiful people. So, the kitchen time is mostly enjoyable and is when I get to cook my stress out.

So here is how a usual schedule looks like.

Well, I at least have time to have lunch today.

Although most of the students don’t have an evening class, it depends on the elective they choose (Separate blog on that).

Yes, the days are taxing and can burn us out. I feel it is important to balance academic activities with other activities which you like to do. Most of my weekends are meant for me to relax and unwind. As long as you enjoy the hustling, and love to repeat it week after week, it would be a time well spent at the university. And you will at the end feel that it was all worth it.
