Goodbyes, plans and wishes

So I guess that’s it! My work as a digital ambassador has come to an end, and soon the new ambassadors will be taking the stage to share their unique stories.

This year at KTH has been a life-changing experience, and I’m glad I got to share my journey with you.

I came to KTH not knowing what awaits me here, probably like most of you. Looking back, I have to say that even though not everything went as planned, and some things and wishes didn’t come true, I have absolutely no regrets choosing this way.

During my first year, KTH has given me cutting-edge knowledge, practical experience, unforgettable memories and most of all, incredible people to be there for me. Who knows what the second year brings, and I’m very excited for the future ahead!

I will always cherish memories of my that first year at KTH in Stockholm

I will spend the upcoming semester at TU Berlin, where I will be doing the exchange as a part of my KTH programme in Media Management. My studies are about to start from 1 October and last until the end of March. After that, I will be working on my master’s degree project until my graduation in June.

Ever since I did my first exchange semester in the US during my bachelor’s, I just knew I was doing the same for my master’s. I’m very grateful to KTH for an opportunity like that, as Germany will be the fourth country where I study — how cool is that? This is a fantastic chance to explore another educational system, meet new people from all over the world, enhance your resume, get to know a new culture and language and broaden your horizons.

When it comes to my plans after I graduate from KTH next year, I’m willing to continue my career in communications and will be looking for jobs where I can actually make a difference. KTH is a world-renowned university, and its diploma will allow me to choose a career rather than being chosen. That makes me not very tied geography-wise, so we’ll see where my life gets me! It can be Berlin, Stockholm, London, or literally anywhere in the world, and that’s just all I could wish for.

I wish each and every one of you to take the best out of your studies at KTH and make it the time of your life! Remember: the world is yours to change, and if you made it here, you surely have every tool to make your wildest dreams come true.

Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn if you’d like to stay in touch, and best of luck!

Take care!

// Valerie
