Vision & Ambition
Our offer to business . . .
The KTH Entrepreneurship Lab is at the beginning of its journey. Our ambition is not only to study entrepreneurship but to create new ways of engaging with it—together with businesses, policymakers, and society. We see three pillars that will shape the Lab’s future role in Sweden and beyond.
1. Living Lab for Entrepreneurship
We aspire to build an environment where companies and researchers can work side by side to test new ideas in practice. Rather than only analyzing what businesses have already done, we want to co-design and observe entrepreneurial experiments as they happen. The Lab should become a space where organizations can trial new business models, explore digital tools, or pilot innovative practices in a supportive and research-driven setting.
2. Entrepreneurial Foresight & Scenarios
Entrepreneurship is about navigating uncertainty. One of our ambitions is to help Swedish businesses prepare for the future by exploring scenarios around technology, sustainability, and shifting markets. Through research-informed foresight activities, we aim to provide tools for imagining possible futures and building resilience. The Lab can serve as a meeting point where academia and industry come together to think ahead, anticipate change, and identify new opportunities.
3. Immersion Programs
We also envision the Lab as a place where people can experience entrepreneurship. Immersion programs will allow managers, employees, students, or policymakers to step into entrepreneurial roles and challenges. By engaging in simulations, workshops, and guided activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to act entrepreneurially—insights that they can bring back to their own organizations.
Together, these three ambitions—experimentation, foresight, and immersion—form the foundation of what we want the KTH Entrepreneurship Lab to become. We do not yet claim to have all the answers, but our vision is clear: to create a dynamic hub that advances research, inspires practice, and strengthens the entrepreneurial capacity of Sweden.
