About the school's management and organisation

Head of School

Each school is headed by a Head of School. The Head of School's duties are set out in the rules of procedure at KTH (arbetsordning vid KTH), the delegation regulations for KTH (delegationsordning för KTH) and other decisions.

Deputy Head of School

The Head of School has one or two deputies who act in the Head of School's place when he or she is not on duty and otherwise replace the Head of School to the extent determined by the Head of School. The deputy shall be known as the Deputy Head of School. The Head of School may also have Deputy Heads who are not deputies.

Management group

Each Head of School has a Management Group which usually consists of Deputy Heads of School, Director of First and Second Cycle Education (GA), Director of Third-Cycle Education (FA), Head of Faculty Renewal (FFA), Heads of Department and Head of the Administration (skolkansli).

Faculty Board

Each School has a Faculty Board, which is a collegiate preparatory and decision-making body. The Board is chaired by the Head of School and consists of six other faculty members and two external members. The tasks of the Faculty Board are set out in the rules of procedure at KTH (arbetsordning vid KTH), the delegation regulations for KTH (delegationsordning för KTH) and other decisions.

The term of office for each Faculty Board is 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2026.
