Qualifiers: Structure and timeline

The qualifiers for year 2022 are over. We will update this page for year 2023 at due time.

SCSC juniors

The qualifiers for the juniors’ team will be handled via Säkerhets-SM  competition ( sakerhetssm.se/ ), which consists of 2 rounds:

  • Qualifier: March 25th, 2022
  • Finals: May 28th, 2022

The goal of these 2 rounds is to select the top 5-10 participants of ages 16-19 that will be invited to the bootcamp. The participants should follow the details provided by the Säkerhets-SM competition at sakerhetssm.se/

SCSC seniors

The qualifiers for the seniors’ team will be handled via Hacking-Lab  platform ( ecsc.hacking-lab.com ) and consists of 2 rounds:

  • Round 1 (training): March 26th - April 29th, 2022
  • Round 2 (qualifiers): April 30th - May 1st, 2022

The goal of these 2 rounds is to select the top 15-20 participants of ages 19-25 that will be invited to the bootcamp. Round 1 will only be used for training and it is not mandatory to be invited to the bootcamp, though it increases the chances upon a successful participation. Round 2 is mandatory to be invited to the bootcamp and one can participate either individually or as part of a team of maximum size of 5 participants. The selection of candidates for the bootcamp consists of a mix of the best teams and the best candidates.

 SCSC seniors (Qualifying Round 2 - Mandatory):

To access the SCSC challenges in the Hacking-Lab platform , the participants and teams should register on the platform. Check out the News Corner  and Hacking-Lab page  for details.

SCSC seniors (Round 1):

To access the SCSC challenges in the Hacking-Lab platform , the participants should register on the platform, and use the following tokens (valid from Saturday March 26th) :

Are you interested in the competition but do not meet the nationality or age requirements of SCSC? You can still do the EARTH challenges and compete in openECSC , an online competition running in parallel with ECSC.
