The theme for ESA’s next large class mission was chosen to be ‘moons of the giant Solar System planets’ in the Voyage 2050 report on ESA's long-term plan for space science activities. To translate this theme into more concrete mission concepts, ESA selected a committee of planetary scientists to further discuss possible science targets and possibilities. I was part of this committee and will talk about our discussions and the prioritized missions to the Saturn system that we formulated in the final report.
