SIDA OSH & Development

Occupational Safety and Health & Development is the title of an international training programme earlier organised by the National Institute for Working Life, now by the Division of Industrial Ecology at KTH. It is a two-year training program financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The ongoing course is oriented towards specialists in occupational safety and health, and has 25 participants from Colombia, Brazil, Chile and five Central American countries. The first course period took place in Sweden in 2006, mid-term seminars took place in participating countries in March 2007, the second course period takes place in Nicaragua in November 2007, and the last course period will take place in November 2008, probably in Colombia. The main requirement for approval is to have planned, carried out, and documented and action for change project during the two course years.
