  Göran Marklund and Per-Arne Lindqvist have published a paper summarizing scientific achievments in the auroral research using more than 20 years of data from European Space Agency four-spacecraft mission Cluster. The paper has been selected as a Research Spotlight by the American Geophysical Union.

• Successful SPP Summer Course

  A new summer block course with the title “Exploring the Physics of Planetary Environments” was held at the Space and Plasma Physics division of KTH between August 13 and 22, 2019. 25 students from 14 different universities across Europe as well as South Africa and the USA came for the two weeks to Stockholm to participate in the course.

• Studenter flyger rymdsond från Kiruna 2010

  Sex studenter från Rymd- och Plasmafysik, har blivit utvalda i ESA:s REXUS-program att flyga rymdsond från Kiruna. Nu följer ett intensivt år med träningsprogram, granskningar och experimentbygge.

• Student rocket project

  The sound of the rotors rises to a roar as the helicopter lifts towards the sky. On board are Christian Westlund and Joakim Sandström, who are studying vehicle engineering and electrical engineering, respectively, at KTH. They will be dropping three test probes as part of the first experiment within the scope of the LAPLander (Light Airbag Protected Lander) project.

• MUSCAT experiment launched successfully from Esrange

  REXUS experiment developed by a student team from KTH and SU, MUSCAT (MUltiple Spheres for Characterisation of Atmospheric Temperature), was launched successfully from Esrange on May 9, 2013. Dr. N. Ivchenko from Space and Plasma Physics and Dr. G. Tibert from Mechanics have supervised the project.
