Pre-sessional English for Masters Study

The Pre-sessional English for Masters Study course is an optional offering that aims to prepare you for Masters studies at KTH. The course will help you to develop the academic language and skills you need for successful study, as well as preparing you for a new academic environment.

KTH Pre-sessional English for Masters Study gives you the best preparations for your studies at KTH. You will improve your scientific communications skills in English, and feel more prepared for life at university.

KTH main campus

Monday–Friday 09:00–12:00

Attendance compulsory (with the opportunity to compensate for max. 3 days’ absence)

Practical information

The Pre-sessional English Course takes place on main campus and all the study material will be made available on Canvas, KTH’s learning management system. Course participants therefore need to be in Sweden and in possession of a KTH IT account in order to participate in the pre-sessional course.

Participation is free of charge. The participants will not receive academic credits after completing the course.

Eligible students

Priority is given to degree-seeking fee-paying students, scholarship holders, and students participating in a study abroad programme. Other international students commencing their Masters studies at KTH autumn 2026 are welcome subject to vacancies.
