About me

It might sound bold, but the desire to make a positive difference in the world has always been my greatest motivation. Whether as a researcher, pharmaceutical developer, or educator, this purpose gives meaning to my work and inspires me to contribute to society in thoughtful and meaningful ways.

As an Educational Developer, I design and deliver training and activities aimed at fostering knowledge exchange among teachers and students on topics such as chemistry, genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology. Since 2007, these programs have reached tens of thousands of students, with visits steadily increasing over the years and peaking at 7,300 visitors annually before the pandemic. I continuously review and refine these activities to ensure they remain engaging and effective.

I also support researchers in their outreach efforts, helping them connect with new audiences. Collaborations with researchers at KTH, Stockholm University, and SciLifeLab have helped showcase current research in ways that resonate with students and educators. For instance, these efforts have contributed to a rise in interest in KTH’s biotechnology program, with first-choice applicants now exceeding available spots.

At our outreach facility, I guide and coordinate student leaders, helping them develop their teaching skills and scientific knowledge. This includes implementing tailored risk assessments for working with younger students to ensure safe and effective interactions, as well as fostering collaborative learning environments that enhance program quality.

In addition, I am part of a research project at KTH's Department of Learning in Engineering Sciences led by Björn Hedin, where we are examining how physical interactions with energy concepts can improve understanding and engagement with everyday energy issues. The project aims to develop an interactive, portable exhibition where participants can explore abstract concepts like energy, power, and carbon footprints through physical models. By making these concepts more tangible and engaging, the project seeks to inspire deeper understanding and encourage positive behavior changes.
