About me

Professor of Mechanics (since 2016) and Senior Professor (since September 2023).

My research focuses on shock wave propagation, with particular emphasis on shock wave focusing phenomena and shock propagation in heterogeneous media, including shock–droplet and shock–bubble interactions. My current work also explores extreme states of matter generated by stable imploding shocks in various media.

I am the author of the review monograph Shock Focusing Phenomena (Springer, 2019).

I have more than three decades of teaching experience at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where I have taught a wide range of courses in mechanics. I am also the author of two textbooks in mechanics, Mekanik I and Mekanik II, published by Studentlitteratur.

Video-recorded lectures are available through the links provided in the files below.
