About me
Researcher in electrochemical sensors. The most exciting part of research is when you discover something new, or find a new way to use chemistry for applications based on the knowledge gathered by those who came before us. With this philosophy, I have, during my time here at KTH, developed prototypes of microfluidic systems with integrated electrodes and electrochemical methods to measure various substances and analytes in new ways – approaches that will hopefully benefit society in the near future.
At the moment, I am working on integrating photovoltaic principles in organic and inorganic semiconductor materials within potentiometric sensors, aiming to explore ways of combining light with ion-selective electrodes. Previously, researchers have claimed that ion-selective electrodes based on such materials should be kept away from light – a notion I intend to challenge.
