Chengyu Jiang

My research focuses on the realization of exotic quantum states in low-dimensional materials, with a particular emphasis on frustrated magnetism and novel spin excitations.  To search for interesting compounds, I synthesize samples with various methods. After structural characterization and basic magnetic measurements, I study them using muon spin relaxation (muSR) and neutron scattering techniques. I am an experienced muSR user of PSI, TRIUMF, and J-PARC. (Learning to become an experienced user of various neutron beamlines)

I am a dedicated enthusiast of Riichi Mahjong, and also an excellent Hearthstone player.
