Om mig

Gavin is a PhD Student in the Division of Building Technology and Design, Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, School of Architectural and Built Environment (ABE) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He was born and raised in Malaysia and obtained his education in the UK. He has graduated with MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton, UK (2014-2018) and MSc in Architectural Engineering at the University of Bath, UK (2019-2020) before joining KTH. He also has a few years of professional experience as an engineer in property development and green building consultancy. He is also a certified Passivhaus consultant.

Gavin's research focuses on designing human-centric indoor environments characterised by good thermal climate, with low risk of airborne infectious disease transmission. He employs advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulatons with high performance computing (HPC) to analyse contaminant dispersion, such as virus particle, in an indoor environment.

Current research project:

BUILDING POST CORONA - BPC

BPC is a collaborative project between KTH, Chalmers, Lund University and Umeå University. The project aims to support the construction sector in designing and maintaining sustainable buildings with a health and good indoor environment.
