About me
Currently mainly studying the human brain with the use of magnetic resonance elastography (MRE). With MRE we can obtain a brain image where we map the mechanical properties in all brain regions. We use these maps to find new insights into e.g. Parkinson's disease, the development of anxiety disorders in adolescents, and healthy aging.
I am also interested in understanding more about the fundamental mechanisms about various brain stimulation methods, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I study this by numerical models of how individual neurons ,inside of a human brain, are affected by a magnetic stimulation pulse in a typical TMS session.
