About me

I'm interested in method development and application of theoretical and computational atomistic techniques to help elucidate the molecular mechanisms underpinning complex phenomena in biomolecular systems (proteins, cell membranes, ion channels, etc) through a multiscale approach and the combination of first (ab initio) and second (force fields) principles. At the heart of these investigations are classical and QM/MM molecular dynamics simulations along with embedding methods, that enhance the accuracy of electronic-structure calculations for spectroscopic properties.
