About me
David Dörner is a PhD student at the Naval Architecture Group at KTH, supervised by Associate Prof. Ivan Stenius and co-supervised by Prof. Dimos Dimarogonas. Through the DISCOWER project, he is affiliated with the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP).
He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc in Engineering Cybernetics from the University of Stuttgart in 2017 and 2019, respectively. During his studies, he also studied for 1.5 years in total at the Tokyo Institute of Technology under Prof. Fujita and Prof. Yamauchi. He held a research assistant position at the University of Stuttgart before coming to KTH, working on hydraulic modelling. Since 2022 he has been with the Naval Architecture group at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. There he works on distributed control of underwater robots.
His research interests include multi-agent coordination and control, learning and data-driven control, and decision-making with application to autonomous underwater vehicles.
