About me
Océane Duvert is a research engineer in Haptic System Design at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems. Her current work focuses on developing age-inclusive interactive wearable technologies to enhance physical activity and long-term engagement among older adults (65+). Specifically, she is designing a novel wearable device with haptic feedback to synchronize stepping with heartbeat, aiming to improve cardiovascular health and user interaction with wearable systems.
She holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytech Université Montpellier, with a specialization in Biomechanics.
Previously, she worked on Haptic Systems for Neuroscience Research at the University of Pisa Centro Piaggio, designing and validating haptic devices to study tactile and proprioceptive integration. She also contributed to Biped Robotics at Politecnico di Bari, where she developed and experimentally validated balance metrics for bipedal systems within the EUROBENCH project in collaboration with CSIC.
