About me

I obtained my PhD from the University of Hamburg in 2025, working within the Cluster of Excellence "Quantum Universe". My doctoral research focused on developingtunable coherence, a novel laser modulation technique for suppressing stray and scattered light in high-precision laser interferometers.
Stray light is a low-frequency noise source starting to become limiting in ground-based gravitational-wave detectors. Its mitigation and the investigation of novel techniques is thus becoming more relevant, especially for future detectors like the Einstein Telescope in Europe. I have been a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and the ET community since 2022.

In October 2025, I started as a postdoctoral researcher in the SQuiCS group at KTH, working on waveguide-based squeezed light sources. My current focus is on characterizing and modelling noise in these squeezed-light platforms, with a main objective being stray light influences.
The aim is to enable broadband quantum-noise reduction for next-generation gravitational-wave detectors such as the Einstein Telescope with simpler, more compact and more resilient sources. This work also connects to applications of squeezed light beyond gravitational-wave detection, including quantum key distribution.
