Ebba Laurin

Ebba is a teacher of Business Model Innovation and Ideation autumn and spring 2019-2020 which are KTHs courses at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship. Ebba earned her PhD from Stockholm School of Economics in 2017. Her thesis "Box Paradox. How Key Account Management Contributes to Business Model Innovation" (2017) explores how entrepreneurial processes with strategic customers contributed to a transformation of a product-based business model to a service-oriented business model in incumbant firms. Ebba finds teaching a delight and she is high inspired by the “engaged scholarship” practice which combines insights from different practices, people and subjects. Her areas of expertise are innovation, leadership, self-leadership in highly challenging & disruptive conditions. She is passionate about understanding the disruptive and stabalizing role and development of people, co-creation and collaboration in complex systems and volatile change processes.

Ebba started her career in Internet startups in the late 1990s in Paris and Stockholm. During the 2000s she made an international career in Ericsson working with innovation, transformation and customer focus in boundary spanning roles across the different units, functions and countries. After a career in business she started her doctoral research in 2010. She submerged herself in learning, teaching and also benefitted from the being a student by spending a lot of time with her kids, Molly and Svante.
