Emily Fricke

I am a postdoctoral researcher with a background in heat transfer and heat exchanger design. I am interested in using engineering to advance sustainable technologies. My current research involves heat exchanger development for a heat pump and thermal energy storage system that can deliver both heating and cooling for industrial applications.

I received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Davis. My dissertation focused on the development of a novel high-effectiveness polymer heat exchanger with applications in residential cooling systems using heat pumps operating on low-GWP refrigerants.
