Gisele Barboni Miranda

I am a bioimage analyst and a researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. I am an active member of the BioImage Informatics facility at the Science for Life Laboratory and the Live Cell Imaging facility at the Karolinska Institute. As a bioimage analyst, my role is to provide support to researchers in developing computational methods for analyzing microscopic images to understand biological processes. In 2019, I received a double Ph.D. degree in Computer Science & Applied Mathematics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and, in Applied Biological Sciences from Ghent University, Belgium. I have always had a keen interest in the intersection of computer science and biology, and I have been working on multidisciplinary research projects in the biomedical field involving computer vision, machine learning and data analysis.
