"Artificial Intelligence and Architecture" (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, 2026): Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a territory under construction at a planetary scale. AI is zoned, controlled, and unevenly serviced.
📖 This is how my introduction opens. I am proud to have edited this volume and contributed to. "Artificial Intelligence and Architecture" brings together critical perspectives on how AI is reshaping societies, the environment, and architecture.
🗺️ The different chapters in this book explore this new territory, examining how AI shapes everyday choices and political beliefs, reproduces gendered norms, and rewires our relationship to one another, architecture, and the environment. My heartfelt gratitude to the European Commission European Research Executive Agency REA, KTH Digitalisation Platform, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and KTH School of Architecture.

Architect, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of architecture, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social justice. Architect, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of architecture, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social justice. My research focuses on architecture, artificial intelligence, and their social and environmental impact. I am developing strategies to enhance social inclusion and preserve the environment in the places we live in, incorporating machine learning. My work investigates how material, and digital strategies can foster equitable and climate-resilient cities.
A former Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, I combine architectural practice and academic research to explore how architectural design can mediate between technological innovation, environmental responsibility, and collective life.
I am also the founder of Campo Ruiz Architect, and LessWasteArchitecture.
I earned an International PhD in Advanced Architectural Projects from the Madrid Polytechnic University UPM, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid ETSAM, Spain. I received a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design and I researched in the Advanced Architectural Research concentration, both at Columbia University, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, GSAPP, New York. I studied architecture at ETSAM and the Copenhagen School of Architecture.
My work has been awarded the First Prize on Research Career at the European Commission Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Grant International Conference, the William Kinne Fellowship from Columbia University, and two Caja Madrid Foundation Fellowships. I am a TEDx speaker and have exhibited my work at the Torino World Design Festival, Museum of Costumes of Madrid, and ExpoEtsam Madrid.
