About me

I am an Industrial PhD student in the Energy Technology departmenet within the Heat and Power Technology division at KTH. My research focuses on the optimisation of electric heaters for Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems and primaily focuses on the incorporation of electric heaters into molten salt TES systems. I shall also consider optimisations for packed bed, concrete and other feasible TES solutions where electric heaters can be optimised to convert excess grid power (or direct from PV/similar) into a storable solution.

The majority of my time, I work as the Research and Development Manager for the EXHEAT Group based in the UK.  I lead a team of six multiskilled engineers, and am tasked with developing new standard products as well as new manufacturing techniques and processes.

I offer technical assistance to all departments  within the business, and am currently working with KTH university on a couple of EU funded projects simultaneously.

I am working towarde becoming a Chartered Engineer - something I anticipate in early 2021, and have had one patent fully granted and several more in submission. In 2018, I won the international HazardEx award for Technical Innovation on one of my products also.
