Om mig

I am passionate about movement biomechanics research in the field of healthcare and performance, with the aim to enable individuals to achieve their optimal health and well-being. My current research at KTH MoveAbility (https://www.kth.se/moveabilitylab) focuses on understanding the biomechanics of the shoulder joint, both in athletes and in manual wheelchair users.

Before joining KTH, I was a postdoc at Stanford University under the supervision of Prof. Scott Delp and Prof. Ellen Kuhl, where I specialized in the simulation of human movement and especially the upper limbs and shoulder joint. I studied the shoulder biomechanics of overhead athletes, like baseball pitchers and volleyball hitters, to understand what factors lead to peak performance and a lower risk of injuries. I received my PhD from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany, in 2021, where I developed methods for weight-bearing C-arm cone-beam computed tomography of the knees.
