Jenny Karlsson

Jenny serves as Export Control Advisor at the Research Support Office of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where she works strategically and operationally with matters related to export control and regulatory compliance. Her responsibilities include providing qualified support to KTH’s Vice President for Research and representing the university in KTH’s Advisory Group for Responsible Internationalization.

Since 2024, she has also served as a board member of the Swedish Export Control Society as the first representative from Swedish universities.

Jenny has particular expertise in export control and compliance, with a focus on advisory services, the development of internal compliance programmes and processes, and the delivery of training initiatives aimed at strengthening organizational compliance culture. She also serves as one of KTH’s primary point of contact with the Swedish authorities The Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) and The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) on export control-related matters.

With a background in industry, Jenny has extensive experience in export control relating to both dual-use items and military equipment. Through her work in both industry and academia, she has developed broad and multifaceted expertise, as well as extensive experience collaborating with national and international experts in the field.
