Jin Yang

I am a PhD student in the division of Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL), supervised by Josephine Sullivan and co-supervised by Anders Andersson. 

My research focuses on discovering novel categories in marine plankton communities through deep visual representation learning. I aim to develop robust and transferable feature representations that support downstream tasks in plankton image analysis, including classification and generalized category discovery.

My PhD project is funded by the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous System and Software Program (WASP).
