About me

I am an Associate Professor in Energy Technology and a researcher specializing in energy efficiency in buildings and sustainable energy systems, working at the Division of Applied Thermodynamics and Refrigeration. My primary research area is energy efficiency in buildings and the built environment, with a focus on developing technical solutions that reduce energy use and climate impact without compromising comfort or safety.

My research includes:

  • Heat recovery from wastewater and ventilation systems.
  • Integration of heat pumps into building energy systems.
  • Energy-efficient domestic hot water solutions that meet strict hygiene requirements.

I have published numerous scientific papers on strategic energy renovation, data-driven methods for urban energy modeling, and policy development for sustainable cities. I also participate in projects that develop decision-support tools for water and energy systems, contributing to resilient and climate-smart solutions for future societies. Current projects include:

  • Energy-efficient domestic hot water production focusing on hygiene and energy balance.
  • Data-driven models for energy performance certificates as tools for urban planning.
  • Integration of heat pumps in heat recovery systems to reduce climate impact.

Beyond research, I teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and doctoral levels. I am passionate about combining technical expertise with practical applications and contributing to a sustainable transformation of the building sector and energy systems.
