Joas Kahlert

I am a PhD student in the Division of Decision and Control Systems at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), KTH. Under the supervision of Prof. Jonas Mårtensson and Asst. Prof. Giuseppe Belgioioso, my research focuses on developing models and algorithms for operational planning and scheduling problems in electrified transport networks, as part of the E-Charge project at Lindholmen Science Park. I also have an ongoing collaboration with the Route Planning Software group at Traton Scania. 

I earned my MSc in Applied and Computational Mathematics with a specialization in Numerical Analysis from KTH in 2025, after completing a BSc in Mechatronics (Mechanical Engineering track) in 2022. During the final year of my master’s studies, I also worked with the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI).
