Kaushik Iyer

I am a PhD student currently working under Prof. Malin Åkermo at the Material and Structural Mechanics research group in the Department of Engineering Mechanics at KTH. I am part of a group developing a conceptual design framework for designing lightweight, cost efficient and sustainable structures from a circularity perspective. My doctoral thesis is on the topic of "Life-cycle costing and optimization of multi-material structures" and currently i am developing an optimization framework for designing cost efficient welded structures under uncertainty.
