Om mig

I am a doctoral student at the Division of Information Science and Engineering under the supervision of Tobias OechteringMikael Skoglund and Sara Saeidian. In my work, I develop mathematical tools for assessing and guaranteeing information privacy in data processing systems. Central to these tools are two frameworks for quantifying information leakage--differential privacy and pointwise maximal leakage. For a quick introduction to what this is all about, check out this YouTube video by minutephysics.

A bit more broadly, I am interested in the application of information-theoretic tools to statistics, e.g., in the theory of Markov chains, as well as parametric and non-parametric estimation. Beyond the technical aspects of privacy, I am increasingly interested in how formal privacy guarantees interact with legal definitions, policy requirements, and societal constraints. If you're a student interested in any of these topics for your thesis, or if you just want to have a chat, please feel free to reach out :)

I joined the ISE division in October 2023. Previously, I obtained my M.Sc. in Information Engineering from KTH and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.

I also play bass and banjo in KTH's student orchestra, PQ. For picture proof, see here
