Om mig

I love sustainability, I have a company called Jongi's Woods Pvt Ltd in Zimbabwe, which fights climate change, poverty and hunger, through developing sustainable solutions to societal and industrial problems affecting Zimbabwe, through climate smart agriculture, indigenous tree planting, product and production developmentindigenous tree nursery management, community training. I am an active mamber of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. My skills includes: product and production development (I developed two national multi-million dollar projects for Zimbabwe), ecosystem design, development of nature based solutions, project development and management, teaching engineering desciplines, business development, renewable energy project design and development, research, innovation and chicken farming. I am also the Head the Division of Innovation and Technology in the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development stationed at Mutare Polytechnic in Zimbabwe.

I Love Life and Nature, these have been my mottos in life. I am currently working on developing food systems that enhances resilience, and adaptability using our indigenous tree species which are more drought resistant. This project involves development of new production systems, since, no machines exists in processing our indigenous species.

My company has received funding from The Land Accelerator Africa (a consotia of Sweden, Germany, Mistubish, World Resource Institute, and Africa Union), and one of our partner was also trained in business development by Green Enterprize (a project funded by Sweden in Zimbabwe). We participate actively in National tree planting activities, and we are now at a consultant level for both private, public and non-governmental organizations. We are also a beneficiary of Southern Africa Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in business development of all renewable energy sectors.

I am a beneficially of the following scholarships:

1. UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Research Fellowship in Manufacturing Engineering;

2. Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals - Masters in Sustainable Production Development at KTH Royal Institute of Technology

I have received the following awards:

1. The best Physics student at Mavhuradonha High School in Mt Darwin Zimbabwe (1998);

2. The best member of staff at Mutare Polytechnic (2018).

Till date we have planted close to 10 000 trees in Zimbabwe, especially in the Eastern Highlands of Manicaland.

1. Installation of gold processing sub-plant at Mazowe Metallon Gold Mine,

2. Design and Make of a diamond polishing machine for Zimbabwe Mine Development Cooperation,

3. Design and Installation of a sanitizer production plant in response to COVID-19 at Mutare Polytechnic,

4. Production Development of a National Vehicle Licence Plate Making Plant,

5. Production Development of Aluminium Bucket Seats Production for National Stadiums

6. Desing of Green Curricula for Green Enterprise 

7. Part of the 100 days Rapid Result Initiative in Zimbabwe for National Transformational Process,

8. Installation of a 3.5kW solar electric generation unit for students at Mutare Polytechnic
