About me:
Alireza Madannejad was born in Iran in 1992. He received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2017. From 2017, he worked as a Technical Staff and Researcher at the Antenna Type Approval Lab, University of Tehran, focusing on applied electromagnetics, antenna and component measurement, and telecommunications systems. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2025, where he is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in RF engineering with the Division of Micro and Nano Systems. His research focuses on sub-terahertz communication systems and the design of high-performance passive components, working under the supervision of Professor Joachim Oberhammer. He is the recipient of the 2024 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Ph.D. Grant, the 2025 Scholarship Award from The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA), the 2025 Antenna and Propagation Society Fellowship Award, the EuCAP 2025 Best Student Paper Award, and the IEEE AP-S Harold A. Wheeler Application Prize Paper Award 2026.
Research field:
Microwave, Millimeter-wave, and THz communication systems, Passive and Active components.
Master's Thesis Project:
I am now accepting supervision for master's degree projects. If you are interested in any or a combination of Antenna design and THz communication, you are welcome to contact me.
