About me

Researcher and group leader (docent, PhD) within biologics development and bioproduction. With a background in protein engineering of affinity proteins for therapeutic and imaging applications, as well as cell line engineering for improved bioproduction, the topic of my research today focuses on viral vector gene therapy development. Adenoassociated viral vectors are promising and groundbreaking tools for the treatment of genetic diseases in vivo. The research of our team, aims to improve the accessibility of these therapeutics by targeting some of the major bottlenecks in AAV-based gene therapy development, such as inefficient manufacturing and unselective in vivo tropism.
