Mostafizur Rahaman Laskar

Dr. Mostafizur Rahaman is a researcher in the Division of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he works with Prof. Mikael Skoglund’s group on quantum information processing and quantum computing algorithms. He is also a Research Scientist with the IBM Quantum division, currently on leave, and a Visiting Scientist at the Quantum Information Physics Theory Laboratory at RIKEN, Japan. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where he was a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF). His research interests include the theoretical foundations of Hamiltonian simulation, quantum optimization, quantum signal processing, and quantum machine learning, with a focus on developing quantum algorithms and exploring their applications on near-term quantum devices.
