Seyedeh Fatemeh Mottaghi

I am Nazanin (Seyedeh Fatemeh Mottaghi), a postdoctoral/visiting researcher at KTH. My academic journey began in mathematics, where I developed a foundation in analytical thinking, quantitative modeling, and problem solving. Over the past five years, my work has evolved toward digital finance, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and their applications in financial markets.

My current research sits at the intersection of digital finance, AI, and real estate economics. I study how emerging technologies are reshaping financial markets, from the way information is processed and investment decisions are made to the way assets are structured, traded, and valued. My research interests include AI and machine learning in finance, blockchain and decentralized finance, and the tokenization of real-world assets.

My mathematical background continues to shape how I approach these questions. I draw on quantitative modeling, econometrics, machine learning, and data-driven methods to investigate market dynamics, information flows, and the broader economic implications of technological change.

At the core of my research is a broader question: how is technology transforming finance, and how can rigorous quantitative methods help us better understand that transformation?
