Md Rizwane Muztaba Khan

Md Rizwane Muztaba Khan is a doctoral student in Transport Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His research focuses on travel behaviour, modal choice, and sustainable mobility, with particular interest in understanding the behavioural mechanisms underlying modal shift and their implications for transport-related emissions. His doctoral research, From Behaviour to Emissions: Modeling Modal Shift, examines how individual and contextual factors shape transportation choices and contribute to sustainable mobility transitions.

He has a background in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with research experience in transportation planning, behavioural modelling, and quantitative analysis. His previous research has examined traffic signal optimization, public perceptions of autonomous vehicles, risky driving behaviour, traffic safety, and travel mode choice. He obtained his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh, and his M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Yonsei University, South Korea, as a Korean Government Scholarship Program scholar. Prior to joining KTH, he served as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University, Bangladesh, where he is currently on study leave to pursue his doctoral studies at KTH.
