About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher specializing in electron microscopy of soft, hybrid, and highly beam-sensitive materials, with a strong focus on advanced sample preparation. My work centers on developing reliable workflows for ultramicrotomy and cryo-ultramicrotomy, along with optimized embedding strategies and low-dose imaging conditions that preserve the native structure of delicate biosourced materials.

I have extensive experience with SEM, TEM, STEM, and 4D-STEM, which I use to study hierarchical systems such as cellulose nanofibrils, aerogels, hydrogels, wood-fiber composites, and bio-based filaments. By emphasizing precise and reproducible preparation methods, I aim to reveal structural features that are often hidden or distorted in conventional imaging.

I also view microscopy as a form of scientific communication. My goal is to develop imaging protocols that clearly, accurately, and without artifacts present complex structures. By enhancing data quality and visualization, I seek to improve reproducibility, strengthen interpretation, and increase the overall impact of electron microscopy in materials research.
