Om mig
Since May 2025, Ingrid Neunaber is an Assistant Professor in Fluid Mechanics in the Engineering Mechanics Department at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
Before her appointment, Ingrid was a postdoctoral fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway (2022-2024), and a postdoctoral researcher with the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) at Centrale Nantes in France (2019-2021). She earned her PhD in Wind Energy Physics from University of Oldenburg, Germany, in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Joachim Peinke. Her dissertation focused on the evolution of small-scale turbulence in the wakes of wind turbines. Ingrid also holds a MSc in Engineering Physics from University of Oldenburg, Germany, and a BSc in Physics from Philipps University Marburg, Germany.
Ingrid works experimentally and she specialized in wind tunnel measurements in particular with hot-wires. Her research inculdes the study of wakes of various objects such as wind turbines and porous discs, with a focus on the evolution of turbulence. In addition, she has experience in generation of turbulent inflows, aerodynamic measurements and field measurements. Her goal is to combine techniques and findings from fundamental turbulence research with applied problems such as wakes of wind turbines or buildings in urban settings.
