About me
Marina Petrova is an associate professor in wireless communication with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. She was the vice director of Digital Fuitures between January 2020 and June 2021. Prior to joining KTH she was an assistant professor and the head of the Self-Organized Networks research group in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Her research intrests include system-level design of future intelligent wireless systems, mmWave and radar technologies, joint radio access and mobile computing, modelling, optimization and prototyping of protocols for wireless and mobile systems.
Dr. Petrova holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in electronics and telecommunications from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje and a Ph.D in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. This year she is co-chairing the 4th ACM Workshop on Millimeter-Wave Networks and Sensing Systems (mmNets) in conj. with MobiCom 2020. She was a TPC co-Chair of DySPAN 2011 and a TPC co-Chair of SRIF14 in conjunction with SIGCOMM. She was serving as an editor of IEEE Wireless Communications Letters and IEEE Transactions of Mobile Computing between 2016-2017. In 2019 she was namedWallenberg Academy Fellow and recently she was awarded the SSF Future Research Leaders grant.
