Pooya Sahandifar

I started my studies in Injury biomechanics from my master studies on Finite Element modeling of Subdural hemorrhage(SDH) at Sharif University of Technology. Now, I focused on broader aspects of injury biomechanics. My Ph.D. study is on Finite Element modeling of fall injuries and it consists of hip, wrist and brain injuries. The aim of my studies is to better understand the injury mechanisms and by this knowledge, to find preventive solutions to decrease the chance of fall injury in coming years. This preventive research is a part of a bigger picture, Sweden's Vision Zero.

My main goal in academia is to participate in increment of life quality of population of not only Sweden but also the whole world. This step in Ph.D. will be the basis of my career in future.
