Project Description: Real-Time Wide-Area State Estimation of Hybrid AC and DC Grids

The research of this topic will be carried out at the EPS. It comprises the development of new paradigms for RT state estimation of hybrid AC and DC networks. New paradigms include the use of measurements with higher resolution and synchronization provided by PMUs. The aim is to develop a paradigm to deal with DC as well as the AC grids simultaneously. The algorithms developed in this project will be implemented using the RT simulator available at KTH.
